Handbook on Capitalisation of Experiences 2012

AAP’s Handbook on the Capitalisation of Experiences constitutes a much needed resource to help address the challenge that programmes have in acquiring the methodological skills needed to identify, characterize, analyze and exploit both traditional knowledge and all other knowledge generated during implementation.

The manual was developed by AAP's regional team with technical support of Innovation, Environment, Development, a Dakar based organization, and is available in both English and French. With an initial focus on AAP, it will assist the capacity building of other project teams and climate change adaptation programmes.

The manual is divided into two parts. The first part offers a refresher on key concepts, and the second outlines the steps and tools required for the capitalization of climate change adaptation experiences.  It does not provide a panacea or ready-made recipe. The aim is rather to provide methodological orientations that are to be adapted to each country and programme’s specific contexts.
